The Lord in His almighty ways
can change a life around
by letting things happen which hurt
circumstances abound

God wants us to focus on Him
for His ways are the best
through trials of substantial hardships
our faith becomes a test
____
and seeking out God’s perfect will
obedience is a must
uncomfortable are life’s changes
in God we put our trust
____
sometimes the Lord has to be harsh
His plan for us remains
the world and flesh get in our way
these things His word disdains
____
so God must prepare a great fish
to swallow us up whole
in teaching one a hard lesson
His will must be our goal
____
for adversity is just a tool
a way for God to move
in humbling one to repentance
His love for us He’ll prove
____
then blessings which have been withheld
are freed to be received
when people finally understand
the will of God in deed
